Miami is a REWARD SCHOOL
The Indiana Department of Education recoginzed Miami as a Reward School for high growth/achievement on the 2011 and 2012 ISTEP+ assessments. We are 1 of 31 elementary, middle and high schools to receive this designation. There are over 1900 schools in the state of Indiana so this is quite an accomplishment recoginzing the quaulity of students and staff at Miami Elementary!
Miami A School
The Indiana Department of Education has rated Miami Elementary as an A school. The A rating is based on the 3rd and 4th grade spring 2012 ISTEP+ achievement as well as the growth scores on the ISTEP+ for 4th grade students. We are very proud of this accomplishment. The students in 3rd and 4th grade last year along with the Miami staff worked very hard to reach this exceptional rating.
The A-F rating has been in effect for three years. In 2010 we received a C rating and in 2011 we received an A rating. This is the second year in a row we received the A rating.
